Do you have a brick and mortar store?

Yes! All of the products on our VA Lavender website are available in our shop at Blue Spring Run Farm. Our physical location is Blue Spring Run Farm 3901 Blue Spring Run Road, Covington, VA, 24426. Store hours vary according to season. Give us a call at 540-747-2055 or email us for current hours of business.

Why is your website name different than your business name?

We offer many different products so to help you with a more streamlined shopping experience, we have divided those products into different categories and have formed different websites and titles for each line. You can view our other products at Bathed in Luxury, VA Honey Bee, and VA Lavender. Invoice(s) you receive from any of these divisions will display our business name as Blue Spring Run Farm

What is your shipping and handling policy?

Blue Spring Run Farm uses the United States Postal Service and UPS for shipping orders. Shipping is based upon retail orders but does not accommodate bulk orders. To accommodate our wholesale customers, credit is issued for excess shipping fees paid. This credit will be issued in the form of a promo code allowing the credit to be applied to future purchases. Shipping is figured using standard USPS pricing and includes the cost of shipping materials.

In-house processing is estimated to take two business days. In addition, please note that due to the sensitive nature of our products, orders are usually shipped on Monday and Tuesday to reduce the chances that they will be detained in warm warehouses while waiting for delivery.

It is our policy to have an email with the orders tracking number(s) sent to you once the order has been prepared for shipment. You should receive this email automatically when the order is ready to ship.

Do you charge tax on your orders?

Blue Spring Run Farm (Bathed in Luxury) collects the required Sales Tax on all orders shipped to Virginia addresses.

Do you ship internationally?

Due to the sensitive nature of our lavender products, Blue Spring Run Farm is unable to ship items internationally.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept all major debit and credit cards and Paypal accounts issued in the United States.

Why aren't all your soaps the same price?

Our cold process soaps are approximately 5.5-6.5 ounces making them larger than our average soaps meaning with proper care it will last longer and provide you with more uses than our average soap.

Also, we care over a half dozen different types of soaps made up of different ingredients. Certain ingredients make certain soaps cost more to be created.

What is the proper way to care for soap?

Handmade soaps should be stored away from water exposure to prevent them from melting. Best practice is to store it in a soap dish that allows air to move under the bar for quick drying.

Handmade soap will last longer when used on a wash cloth or bath pouf and not directly on skin.

Unused bars should be stored in a dry place away from direct sunlight.

How is your cold process soap made?

Our handcrafted, artisan soap, in addition to all our products, is created on site. It is formed by mixing together ingredients including oils, fats, milk or water, and lye in a process called saponification. At the end of this process preservative free soap is formed.

It may seem hard to believe, but most ingredients found in soap can be found in your kitchen as well. The oils, milks, and fats used in our soaps are the same that you would often use when cooking, and most of our botanicals would be found in herbs and teas. Combining these common ingredients with essential oils and fragrances results in the beautiful and beneficial soaps we offer both online and in our store.
