John has always loved to work with bees. We lived in Florida from 1986-1999. During this time John picked up this hobby. When we moved to Virginia in 1999 the bees came with us. We loaded the hives into the back of John's truck and drove them all the way here. As time went on he ended up losing his hives to mites and other causes. Life got busy so the bees were put on hold until 2015 when he started back again with just a few hives. Now (2021) we have 16 hives, but that number continues to grow each year.
The honey produced from these hives is sold in the Shop and is used in many of the products that we make here on the farm.
